I would love to see this turn into a profitable option for experienced developers. Milkman Games have created a couple of nice extensions like an AdMob [...]

Android Malware Surges Nearly Five-Fold Since July
Views: 810   20 Nov 2011 06:29 am
Sightings of Android malware have surged 475 percent since July this year, according to Juniper Networks.October and November are shaping up to become the fastest growing months for Android malware in the three-year history of the platform, according to researchers at Juniperâs year-old mobile threats network, the Global Threat Center. Juniper pins the blame on how Google runs the Android Market."What happens when anyone can develop and publish an application to the Android Market? A 472% increase in Android malware samples since July 2011," Juniper wrote in a blog post. "These days, it seems all you need is a developer account, that is relatively easy to anonymize, pay $25 and you can post your applications. With no upfront review process, no one checking to see that your application does what it says, just the worlds largest majority of smartphone users skimming past your applications description page with whatever description of the application the developer chooses to include."http://securitywatch.pcmag.com/none/290654-android-malware-surges-nearly-five-fold-since-july#fbid=KNv6E8nKBPL
Adobe donates Flex SDK to Apache Software Foundation, moves further away from Fl
Views: 852   20 Nov 2011 06:29 am
Adobe killed Flash on mobile last week after realizing it couldnt compete with HTML5, and now it looks like its taking a step away from Flash on the desktop. The company has announced that its donating the Flex SDK, which is used to develop Flash-based internet applications, to the open source Apache Software Foundation, where it will continue on as an independent project. Weve also been hearing whispers that the move is part of a broader refocusing that will ultimately see Flash on the desktop canceled as well, but we cant confirm anything yet. Well see what happens â it seems as though Adobe is making some hard decisions.http://www.theverge.com/2011/11/18/2570885/adobe-flex-sdk-apache-flash
