why doesn't the Xs match ?
hello,
i have a small but wierd problem. in order to share it i printscreen it and add letters.. go here it goes : my movie is 680 width (A), it is built from a mainMC whose X values are the same as for the main movie (i put the top-left point at x=0 and marked the top-left point in the info). in my mainMC i have another MC (subMC) that i move on the X axis. when i change the x of the subMC to 0 it is placed on the left side of the screen (as it should be as the ). i want to place it on the most right side, so i calculated the width of the subMC (B - 226.8) and subtract it from the width of the film (A-680). which means the x point of the subMC should be : 680 - 226.8 = 453.2. for unknown reasons, the subMC didn't touch the right border. so i move the subMC manually and found out that the subMC X point should be 497.4 (C). now, if i add 226.8(B) + 497.4(C) i get : 724.2 which is 44.2 points higher then the screen width(A - 680) i did 1 last test and point with the mouse on the right border. the X point of the mouse (D) shows 680. to sum it up, even thu the screen size is 680 i need to define the x of the subMC to 497.4(C) which is 44.2 higher then the number i should define (453.2). does some know the reason ? thanks to all those who read up to this part :> eran sakal
