I have created a flash animation that shares the home page with basic html copy and links into an HTML based site (yet to be published). Included in the last frame of the movie is a stop action to prevent looping and concludes with an appealing static image that captures the essence of the site. While I have no objection to the movie playing with each return visit (browser session) to the site, I want to stop the reloading of the movie with any return movement to the home page from an internal section of the
site. For instance, user visits the news section and bounces back home - I do not want the animation to run but merely display he final frame image of the movie. My success to achieve this end has been limited. I can prevent the main movie from replaying however: *the preloader runs and then stops on the final frame and eliminates any possibility of the animation running with tomorrows browser session to the site. *same result with a cookie. In summary my objective: animation plays when I enter the site and plays only this one time during any unique site session but plays when I return to the site tomorrow. Being a novice to flash and struggling with scripting, I request any suggestions be spelled out. Thank you for your assistance! |
