I am creating a car game and I have developed a collision detection engine to tell whether the front or the back of the car has hit a wall or another car.
This is so I can send the car movieclip to a particular frame to display the type of damage it has recieved. The problem is it all happens in an IF statement and once it has hit any wall the damage variable keeps incrementing because the condition remains true and I only want it to increment once per hit. I have included the FLA for the game. If my ramblings make no sense. Basically I want an increment to execute only once even if the conditon remains true. Any help would be great. Maz |
