delivering flash movie to client
I searched to see if this has been covered and couldn't fins anything, so I apologise if this is a repeat "dumb" question.
Iím just getting started in Flash using CS3. For this project I just need to encode a couple of different video clips using flash and deliver them to my web designer.
I encoded my video clip to an .FLV file. Opened a new action script project and imported the movie onto the stage, adding a skin for playback and mute.
I tested the movie and it plays fineÖaudio and video. I exported the movie.
I now need to deliver this to my web designer.
Iíve tried a couple of different approaches: 1. I copied the flv file, the skin and the .swf files to a portable hard drive. It doesnít play back.
2. I decided the link to the video file was the problem so I rebuilt the project all on the external portable hard drive so the link to the movie would point to the movie on the portable hard drive.
I then disconnected my main video hard drive with just the portable connected and the file plays just fine.
I then tried to play the file on another computer and it doesnít work. On one computer with FC studio 2 installed it trys to open the .swf file in live type. On another the icons are different than what I have on my original machine and it says it an action flash movie and wonít play either.
I have another computer with CS 3 photoshop installed and it plays fine on that one.
I presume Iím missing some important component or components I nthe file I want to deliver.
Can someone lease help. It seems like this should be pretty simple, but it certainly is way to much for this pea brain.
