We are looking for a Flash Developer to help drive the Flash development of a Video player and other Flash based projects for a large media corporation.

Responsibilities
• Work closely with software engineers, web developers, Ad Operations, QA engineers and other project stake holders to both develop clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of those deliverables;
• Assist Project Manager and Web Development Manager with project estimates for Flash development work;
• Lead development of the Flash video player;
• Serve as in-house technical lead for Flash development;
• Work with third parties to standardize and troubleshoot rich media advertisements;
• Thoroughly test software components using a unit testing framework and other tools;
• Create documentation including engineering requirements documents, post-launch documentation for maintenance and support of the software, etc;
• Deliver efficient, well-architected and robust code.

Required Skills:
• 3+ years experience developing web-based multimedia projects;
• Deep experience with ActionScript 2.0 programming language and OO concepts;
• Understanding of ActionScript 3.0, moving towards exclusive use;
• Deep experience with the Flash CS3 IDE and Flash Video;
• Deep experience integrating Flash applications with server applications and databases;
• Strong knowledge of supporting programs for working with images, audio, and video;
• Some knowledge of other web development technologies (XML/HTML/CSS /JavaScript/PHP);
• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience in a professional web development environment;
• Strong familiarity with building data-driven applications and using XML with Flash (i.e., E4X).
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
• Strong communication skills;
• Knowledge of the video game industry – strong passion for gaming preferred.
