simple game help
I am a periodic visitor, and currently teaching Flash at highschool. I have always come at it from more of an artist perspective. I am trying dig a little deeper into actionscripting and create a simple flash game to teach to my students. I would consider using a pre-existing tutorial for a simple game, but if any one has the time to help me with an idea I have I'd really apreciate that too.
I have a 21 frame animation of a fish jumping out of the water on the main timeline. I have a button on the stage. I want the button to activate the "fisherman_mc" (which is in the library). This animation consists of a fisherman casting his line. The "fisherman_mc" is 5 frames long. What I want to have happen is this: if - the last frame (frame 5) of the "fisherman_mc" corresponds to the middle frame of the jumping fish on the main timeline (frame 11) - a 3rd movie clip loads from the library that shows the fish being caught, and the movie returns to the beginning and the player gets 1 point. else - the fish jumping on the timeline continues uninterupted and one X appears on the main screen. When three X's appear, the game ends. I hope this is clear enough. Thank you very much for your time. |
