using mouse to choose array of objects in game
I'm trying to make a game where there's rows of objects. The objective for the player is to choose a certain number of objects by surrounding them with the mouse. If there are 10 rows of 10 objects and the player is to choose 56 of them, they can use the mouse to surround 8 rows of 7 or 7 rows of 8.
Is there a way in Flash 9 to determine how many objects are surrounded with the mouse? I'd guess it might start with "mouse down", but since the objects are to be surrounded, the mouse wouldn't be down while over any object. Then the "mouse up" would be once the mouse is beyond the opposite corner on the array of objects. |
