Problem with flash videos with Windows 2000 and I.E. 6

Hi everyone,

I have made a website which uses the new features of flash 9 (i.e. FLVPlayback) to play streaming video.

The video seems to work fine on mostly all machines and across browsers

However....

on a few older machines (which i think both use windows 2000 and I.E. 6) all you get is a rapidly flashing small "flash" icon on the left hand side of where the flash is embedded.

I have obviously tried installing the new flash player on the machine and correcting the security settings for I.E. etc but nothing seems to work! To make it stranger you are able to watch other flash movies using that machine and browser such as "youtube" which makes me think it is something to do with my embedding technique.

I have been advised that it could be that I could try exporting the fla. for flash 8 or lower insead of 9 but when I try I get the following error "WARNING: The component 'fl.video.FLVPlayback' requires ActionScript 3.0."

Here is my embedding for reference:
<object class="dsR5417" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/s...ersion=6,0,0,0" height="334" width="418">
<param name="movie" value="../flash/aracari.swf">
<param name="quality" value="best">
<param name="play" value="true">
<embed height="334" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" src="../flash/vids/aracari.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="418" quality="best" play="true"></embed>

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Jack
