OK, guys ... i'm praying one of you gurus can help me. The guys at another Flash "help" site were none too accomodating ... and one of the mods was downright offensive. i do hope i find friendlier waters here.
All of this is being done in FLASH PROFESSIONAL 8 in Windows XP. http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/1...rsamplehu5.jpg Posted at http://img372.imageshack.us/my.php?i....swf&width=800 i will do my best to provide ALL the info needed for someone to help me with this, as i have been struggling with this for several weeks now. As you can see from the .swf file above, the initial buttons work ... if you click on any button, you progress to frame #10, 20, 30 ... etc. However, once there ... the script stops functioning. For example, the OHMERS button brings you to frame #10. Then, if i were to click on "View", that should bring you to frame #20. However, that just doesn't happen. The idea is to have the buttons have a hierarchy where, when selected, the button stays highlighted and the rest go to a "Deselected" state. For example, if the OHMERS button is selected, the rest of the buttons go into the "Deselected" state as shown below: ![]() The buttons are composed of "Selected" and "Deselected" states, which are comprised of button symbols for each state, with text added on top of the button. Each instance has a name of, for example, ohmersS for the "selected" version of the button, and ohmersD for the "deselected" version. The symbols are shown below: ![]() Below are two instances, one each of selected and deselected states: ![]() The code that i have placed in my ACTIONS layer in frame one is attached. If there is anything that i have left out, please let me know! |
