have mouse events pass straight through a flash movie?
hello,
i'm trying to work out if something is possible with flash before i get flash. the following question is based on my assumption that flash movies consume mouse events and don't pass mouse events through/on to what's underneath (z dimension wise) the flash movie, so if that assumption is incorrect pointing that out would be very helpful. is there anyway of making a flash movie pass on the mouse events it receives to what's beneath it thus achieving the impression that the flash movie is invisible to mouse events? actual situation i've got in mind: a flash movie with small bit of animation in, the background of the movie transparent, showing html text which the flash movie is laid over -- laid over using css's z-index. in that situation is there anyway to have the html text selectable and clickable in the usual way as if a flash movie wasn't over it? for example say there was a normal html link in the text that the flash movie is over -- i guess that link wouldn't be clickable with a flash movie, even if transparent, over it. anyway to make that link clickable while the flash movie is over it? thanks very much in advance for any information on this. |
