SWF Help with masking an object

***.SWF attached!!!***

HELLO EVERYBODY!
Im having a little trouble trying to complete a small task for an animation im doing for class and was wondering if anybody who be of help. I created a scene with 3 baby penguins that follow the mommy penguin and the last one is suppsed to fall into the water provided by the crack in the ice I made. My requirement is to add a mask into the animation and was having trouble trying to make the penguin look as if it was really falling into the water and dissapearing underneath the ice. Im hoping I can use the mask requirement for this part of the animation and would like it if someone could please explain to me how i can achieve this. I've attached my .swf so you can see exactly what im talking about and can post my .fla if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
