I want x to equal 00011

when I put it in as

x = 00011;

it returns the number 9

I have also tried

x=00011:
Number(x)

and it still returned 9

I need it to express exactly 00011 so that if

x=00011
y= x+4

then the result "y" would be expressed as 00015 instead of 13

thank you in advance for any help, this may seem stupid but I am on a bit of a deadline and nothing is working.
