Flash MX and Mac os 10.4.3 Need some help Here

if this is off topic, I apologize, but I figured if anybody could help, it would be on this list.
Problem: Flash MX running under mac 0s 10.4.3 crashes on startup.
Macromedia has a fix out for this prob, but it does *not* work.

This app ran fine under 10.3, and I only had problems when I migrated the files to my brand new G5. I have tried all the standard troubleshooting paths...throw out the plist, repair permisssions and log in as a different user, nothing works.

I am fairly sure this is a problem with Macromedias activation scheme, the activation files doid not transfer with everything else when the files were moved to the new machine.
What I can't figure out is:why can't I reinstall from my original disks? when I do a new install, it does not prompt me for the serial num or take me to macromedias activation page. Does Macromedia expect you to buy a new copy of the software everytime you get a new machine?

I assume there is some kind of scheme to prevent you from loading to more than one computer at a time...which I am ok with...but how do you "deactivate" the old box?

Either that , or the mac os is bugged....*sigh*

if anyone has run into this PIA, please talk to me! I need a fix for this bad.

thx
Geez
