non-visible movies playing using screens

I am using Flash MX with the new screens method – automatically creating a presentation. The problem is that all of the screens are at frame 1 and the movie that I put in one of the screens continues to run even if I leave that screen.

At first, I loaded the movie at startup but the movie began to play immediately even though that screen was not visible (!). So I changed the actionscript to only load the movie at the time of a reveal event. This helped. But now, once you have revealed the movie, even if you now go to another slide, the movie continues and you hear the sounds from the movie. (!) Very annoying and I can’t figure out a way to solve it.
