Question Trouble controlling streaming sounds in Flash please help!!

Hi

I'm currently trying to create an online mixer in Flash. What I need to be able to do is play four 5 minute long mp3 tracks (bass, drums, keys and click track) simultaneously. If I create a movie clip with each sound placed on a layer, set to streaming, all the tracks play together fine. What I'd like to be able to do though is control the volume of each track. I've read some excellent tutorials on the web explaining how to do this... however, it seems impossible to declare a sound object without calling it using the sound.start procedure, which you can't seem to set to streaming! If I try any other way, like using that or creating a separate movie clip for each track, they play back out of sync. So I'm stuck... any help much appreciated!!

Cheers
