Here is the sample file to show the problem:

In the first frame of the main timeline. If you change the variable _root.chosen = "secondproject"
to
_root.chosen = "firstproject"

You'll see that it works.

Now change it back to
_root.chosen = "secondproject"

and you'll see that it's undefined.

I'm suspecting it has to do with how my xml is formatted, but I'm not sure how this can be fixed.
