Imitating the macromedia's website menu
I'm fairly new to flash and actionscript. I'm trying to somewhat mimic the flash navigation menus on macromedia.com's website.
right now I have a submenu fade in when you roll over the parent menu element (ie. when you roll over "Products", the products submenu fades in. I can't get the following to work properly: from there when you roll over the submenu, i can't get my parent menu element to stay highlighted. I also have it set for the submenu to fade out on rollout of its parent menu element. but of course, when you roll over the submen (you rollout parent menu element) so the submenu fades away. So basically how do I get the parent menu element to stay highlighted and the submenu to stay visible while you are rolling ove the submenu? I hope that makes sense! Thanks. note: each main menu element are seperate movie clips that fade in on rollover and frames rewind on roll out (to fade out). submenu is a movie clip containing buttons. |
