Hi,
I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour with mask layers, or something that I am doing wrong. Basically I have a simple movieclip on one layer, and a mask layer which shape tweens a shape around to reveal different parts of the movie clip at different times. The problem is that every time my mask layer hits a keyframe, the movie clip restarts from the beginning. Is the only way to solve this to make the shape that is doing the masking into a movieclip itself? If so, that's quite an awkward solution, as it's then not possible to change the mask's behaviour on the main timeline. This simple file demonstrates the problem; the movieclip plays fine unless the top layer is converted to a mask: http://goat.fastmail.fm/ball_mask_movie_problem.fla Thanks, --Alan |
