Hi,

My company, ICUS, is looking for an eLearning developper. This means basically being a good client-side developper with the added knowledge of eLearning standards and Learning Management Systems. 90% of our production is Flash based so we are obviously looking for a very good flash developper. Below are the details.

As a member of the technical team, you will be part of a close-knit development team consisting of a course designer, graphic designer, and project manager. The environment requires that you work amicably and respectfully with all team members. You should also juggle priorities and exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to produce quality work, and to self-check for tidiness of work.
• Work closely with client's IT staff to understand the deployment environment. Communicate the technical requirements/constraints in the relevant project IT plan.
• Work on audio/visual needs of a course. This includes video recording or audio taping as required, digitising the taped items, and integrating into the various course pages.
• Build content, as defined by the course designers, into web pages, using identified development tools
• Build interactivity components which require the use of JavaScript, Flash, etc, and integrating these components into the course pages
• Integrating of the various course pages into the LMS, in the required structure (i.e. Course Module Topic Sub-Topic Page)
• Build and integrate various quizzes into the course content
• Support the Project Managers and the Course Designers to provide pre-sales estimations
• Demonstrate keen interest in research for new tools and technologies for production efficiency and/or market leadership

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in computer sciences (or relevant discipline).
• 2-3 years experience in cross-browser, client side web development DHTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash.
• Expert in ECMAScript languages (JavaScript/ActionScript) and Object Oriented development.
• Proficient in using Macromedia Flash (5/MX/MX2004).
• Well versed in XML and specifically XML development in Flash
• Proficient with web authoring tools such as Macromedia Dreamweaver
• Knowledgeable in accessibility standards (W3C accessibility guidelines, US Section 508).
• Experience with LMS concepts features and functionalities.
• Experience in the international eLearning standards SCORM and AICC
• Knowledge of server side languages such as PHP or ASP is an advantage
• Knowledge of SQL Database Systems is an advantage
• Knowledge of Linux is an advantage.
