How to import video to Movie Clip?

Hi

This may seem like a simple task but i am having real difficulty trying to add an avi file to my presentation! I import the file to the library which works fine, then i use the editor to clip the video to the correct size and adjust hue, brightness etc.

But i want the video to be contained in a movie clip and when i add it to the stage it says it needs to add in another 200 frames or so to play?

Can i have the clip set so that it can be added in a movie clip and will only take up one frame on my timeline?

Sorry, im trying my best to explain!
