Is it possible to preload an external flv that is used in a swf?

I have a swf that displays several screens with just text and symbols. These are followed by a screen that has a video display component that plays a short FLV file. When it gets to this screen, the flv doesn't display. The text on this screen shows but it goes on to the next screen and the flv never gets displayed. I think it is because the duration of this screen is short and the FLV doesn't have time to load. When viewed again, the FLV file shows up (i guess it has been cached?).

How do I get it to preload the flv so that it is available when it gets to the screen where it is to be displayed? There is plenty of time for the whole flv file to load while the initial screens are being displayed.
