I want an all-flash website. Need advice and tips
Hello everyone.
I just registered here in hope that I'll be able to learn some stuff (and make my website look better )I an new to Flash, and especially scripting. I know other programming languages, but I never got the chance to learn Flash and ActionScript. I want to make my website all flash, and I could use some tips and pointers. The way I was thinking is: Have multiple scenes (one scene for the front page, one for my gallery page, etc...) and have buttons programmed to load the scenes on release. In my gallery I want to load the pictures using a fade-in effect, so that's another bunch of scenes with little buttons to load them. Do you think this is a good idea, or will it end up being a 5MB file? Should I have separate .swf files for the pages in my website? Here's a good example of the way I was thinking about making my galleries (the pic loading and effect: http://www.jvsweddings.com And here is my website at the moment (a little bit of flash, but nothing signifficant): http://www.cmuntean.net What do you think? Any info would be appreciated. Especially the actionscript part for loading stuff (another scene, etc...) Your help would be very much appreciated. |
