Ellipsis - Flash MX 2004 updater 7.2 - is out!

At last, Ellipsis is out:

http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/downloads.html (aprox 66 mb PC / 73mb MAC).

Runs faster, smoother... new additions to the documentation.

Here is one more useful compilation of links:

http://www.shocknet.it/ellipsis/

Cheers!

Neat job Shockwaver, just to add to the release to allow easy reading of flash focused content I have posted some direct Breezo links here.
They are live online tutorials where you can view the streaming video demos of MM staff talking and showing you the demos.

Session: Flash for Artists
Speaker: Macromedia Certified Trainer, Arthur Phillips
Description: Start unleashing the full power of Macromedia Flash tools for
artists. Chrome, bevels, flares, soft shadows, and more can all be made with
the powerful tools in Flash.

Session: Drawing and Animating a Character in Macromedia Flash MX 2004
Speaker: Team Macromedia Member, Chris Georgenes
Description: Many animators use Macromedia Flash for detailed vector-based
animation. One of the strengths of Flash is its versatile workflow and
production process. I have developed some custom techniques that can help
you create and manage the various moving parts of a complex animated
character.

Session: Lip Synching in Flash
Speaker: Team Macromedia Member, Chris Georgenes
Description: Learn how to lip sync animations using Flash

Session: Flash Video Kit
Speaker: Macromedia Director of Product Marketing, Chris Hock
Description: Sneak peek at the Flash Video Kit

Session: Intro to Flash for CF Users
Speaker: Christian Cantrell

Crying hyperlinking a button in flash mx2004 7.2

Hello!

I created a button in flash, then I coverted it to a symbol, I right clicked it, and I did not get the option action, so I clicked my button then manually clicked the action tab, clicked on the '+' >Global Functions>Browser/Network>then selected geturl(). The command geturl() appeared on my action screen. I proceeded to type in the url in the parentheses, clicked the target symbol above the screen, clicked ok, but now when I test it I get a syntax error, "expected ',' or ')' " is what it sais. What is the problem?

Wink

Hi Samoual

About e-books I honestly don't know any, 'cause most of the stuff I need to learn I search here at the forum.
Try a simple search before posting, you'll see it pays off.

And I think I speak for everyone here:
Welcome to Flashmove and stick around!

Cheers
