stop(); command doesnt work! sooo embarrasing!
Hi all
sorry to ask such a question... but i cannot for the life of me get the stop(); command to work.. (i've fallen at the first hurdle!!) here's the low down... I am a VERY new flash user (of only 2 days!!) and am now up to speed with importing graphics, symbols, creating movie clips, creating transitions working with the timeline etc... (MX pro) i now want to create a flash webpage that starts with an animation. having created all my transitions and stored them in a library folder, i have placed them on the main Scene 1 timeline (on different layers) the problem is, i want to stop the playback head at a specific frame, and no matter where i place the stop(); command, it doesnt work... - i have tried putting it on the last frame of the transitions, (on the main timeline AND in the tranistions themselves) - i have tried creating a new layer called actions (on the main timeline) and inserting the command into a keyframe - have even tried making the whole animation into a movie clip and inserting the command at the end of it....(on both the main timeline AND the MC timeline) NOTHING seems to work, the play head just sails right past my stop(); script ... please help... im about to give up and stick to being a graphic designer! cheers in advance Mike |
