I am trying to load an external jpeg image into an empty movie clip in Flash MX. I am loading a very large image because it's for a panorama doo-dad. The dimensions of my jpeg's will vary, but they are all approximately 5000 to 6000 pixels in width and 500 pixels in height. I load the image using loadMovie() and only part of the image shows up (Needless to say that my panoramic effect is screwed up completely). When I to a trace action to test the width of the image, it comes out to be 2880....no matter how wide the actual jpeg is. Why won't the entire image load up properly? I did a test run on a new fla to make sure it wasn't my panorama doo-dad causing the problem. I made empty clip and loaded one of the large images in. Checked the width and it was 2880....only that much of the image shows up. The rest is cut off for some reason. I am stumped.
