ok, I'm trying to learn some basic actionscript and how to make the load screen before playing a movie. I am a total noob with flash, so please bear with me. I would appreciate it if somebody would take the time to look at my stuff and maybe help me understand why my stuff isnt working like I want it to.

Here are my files:

The movie has 3 buttons.
Blue -> starts the sub-movie to load
green -> once the movie has loaded, this will start the simple animation
red -> if the animation is currently playing, this will stop it.

it also has an mp3 that starts to play, and bitmap (some stuff that takes a long time to load, just so that I can see for sure that the loading part actually works).

Now here are the problems I am having....
- when I click the blue button, the sub-movie gets loaded into the frame... but doesnt show the percentages as it loads. It just stays at 0% until the whole thing loads, then it says 100%

- when it does load, the mp3 automatically starts to play, but the rest of the animation stays on the first frame. I only want it to start playing when I hit the green button.

- Once the green button is pressed, the animation should loop until I stop it. But it just plays once, then returns to the first frame and stops.

- the red button only stops the animation, not the music... even though I have the action stopAllSounds();
