a couple newbie questions on personal ways of doing things

i've been working with HTML, PHP, Photoshop, etc for several years now..
every now and then I animate a banner or a certain thing here or there with flash..

but ive been interested in putting it all together in flash now..

so it would be very graphic..

what ways do you normally do this?
do you cut up lots of images and throw them in there? use one single image?
when you want really graphic animations or whatnot, do you draw it in flash or import photoshop graphics?

whats the general way to do it.. cause there are a lot of things i'd like to draw in photoshop and animate, but i dont know if its "okay" to have many images in the scene..

wouldn't that create very high load times?

Yes

You can load images dynamicaly at runtime if and when required. It really depends on how you plan to use the images one loaded into flash.

well say i have a 750x550 graphic image that needs to be used

on that i need to cut out some buttons that may need to have several graphics for rollover/mousedown/ etc

then other things that continously loop on the graphic like glares and rotating things etc that are graphics in photoshop....

is that demanding too much?

do you just import them in like you would load it with the flash and add a code for which images to load at runtime? ( i dont need a full review , just a 'ballpark yes or no' ... i know theres tons of threads on preloaders i can check out )

i look forward to seeing the flash version

My belief is to use a little images in flash as possible and were i can add to html like boders background etc...
In saying that. As long as your jpg's are reasnobly low in file size you could be ok.

Still need a preloader though.
