hmm, if they think that the mentioned sites r "copies" than i wonder who made the first "standard leftframe=navigation right frame=content" frameset because this guy must b absolutely genius being copied so often...

sorry for being a bit rude, i also know u don't wanted to say anything u just mentioned this post, but please also gimme the freedom to comment the mentioned posts in that thread. i took a look at the sites and well all they have in common is the raw layout. the design is diffrent on each of them.
it is an idea that was copied an idea of how to arrange content... good, if u wish, honor to the one who had it first, but the work of building such sites still is worth mentioning.

just my 2 cents

Garg, i understand where ya coming from but the point was focused mainly on design concept rather than the content. If you look at it from the design point of view the similarities are strong.

On the other hand, i also understand that its not easy for people like me to do something like that because it shows that eflores has a good technical background on Flash and I respect him for that. He did a good job on code77 (my site is totally crap!). If he was in Singapore, i think my friend would like to hire him

I'm not saying that its bad. And yes, free speech is definitely welcomed.

If you look at it from the design point of view the similarities are strong.

hmm well all of the pages first of all use a diffrent colorscheme 2A's for example is blue-grey scale, some of the other use white orange grey...

then the shape and image of the navigation... and the used effects differ...

what is similar in my eyes is the arrangement:
one headpart containing the main navigation and introducing the ci colors...
then a main content area
then below a triple splitting with actuall projects or other aditional head/content parts...

but all of them stll look unique. sure there is some obvious similarity but well for me it is really compareable to that "leftframe navigation rightframe content" thingy it is just as all of us would do it... sure a bit more advanced but in general ...

anyway thank u for not taking it personally i just step over it and wondered what thread u r refering there so i read it and then was somewhat upset about the "arrogance" there...
i mean sorry, but 2A is a company like any other as well. and their site is good, but no mystery in functionality or stuff... to copy it is no act of magic or stuff. (the only thing i really like are the clouds but this is just good grfx artwork to make them fit this way... so no magic as well).
so i read that thread and just thought "OMG another kid wants to b told how genius his idea was..." well driven by this thought sorry i needed to protect eflores a bit. the work to steal such a layout is nothing in comparisson to build a site working like every of the mentioned. so hmm noone to blame... everything is ok... i just wanted to point out that well such comparison is - kidsplay? err well, i hope everybody understands my point...

another thing we both should dicuss is the regional discrimination of the world beyond singapore. i mean mankind already had racial discrimination and ... - floating backwards in history - now meanwhile it's regional... i think this should b mentioned at the United Nations, amnesty international, unicef, whatever next time

Discrimination ? OMG.. last thing on my mind. in fact i just did a short animation on the ideas revolving around 'conflicts and discrimination' I'd love to share it if u're interested. it's my first attempt at animation. It'd be cool to bounce ideas with you about discrimination esp. racial.
