I forgot to tell, and perhaps is it important, that I need to find a data soft functioning offline too, without a server.
Actually, it's for a CD-ROM. Is MySQL for this kind of realisation?

I would suggest you write a custom flatfile database that would be inserted into a dir in the PC. That way it would not require complicated overheads.
But then are you using the database for client side or serverside? What kind of data do you wish to store? If it's just a simple data you could just make it as local remote sharing.

Wow. What do you mean exactly ![]() What is a "flatfile"? How do I write one? What are "overheads" ? -- But then are you using the database for client side or serverside? I don't know what you mean by "remote sharing", but the data base is quite rich, with 6 or 7 entries for each item, and more than 100 items on the whole.

an offline database? what should that b good 4?
either it is a database then it makes only sense if it is used frequently by lots of users -> online. or if u want to do a cdrom and have lots of data on it u want the user to browser it still keeps being a static environment for the data on the cd doesn't refresh anyway.
