Since it's been a long debate when Flash 6 is going to come out.
We hope You would share some really unique and interesting ideas that will make flash 6 more better than director!

Or do you have some bugs that you ich to have it gone before 6 is out?

just some whishes for actionscript.

- no limitations for ascode lines the movie should b slowed down when the code needs the time to b calculated
- more c like syntax
- compileable code for all 3 platforms to make AS more powerfull
- direct access to java objects in the same html document
- direct access to javascript variables, their values and functions also letting JS set them directly to the movieclip asking.
- real socket connection (not just xml based)
- importing images like jpg gif and png on runtime
- as code encryption (128 bits)
- real multitasking opened mc has same rights as momy mc
- java like object structure and java like constructors wanted not necessarily polaced at a frame just code somewhere in the movieclip.
- global variables for all loaded mc's accessable
- loading script objects while execution.
- functions for calculating primes and other stuff neccessary to do high end security and encryption needed for e-business
- perl like regular expressions
- line object, bezier object, area objects with gradients steerable by AS
- the ability to connect to an entered IP and port
- assoziative arrays
- better support for multi dimensional arrays...

Yes, I will agreee and I can relate with most your wishes...

I would like them to make gradient making colors like flash 4, I find it sort of harder to make flash 5 gradients and saving them, I go to flash 4 and save them then inport them in flash 5 cause flash 5 is a lil overboard on the interace if you ask me =]

Well apart from what Gargoyle has already said (although I'm happy with the syntax as is, I hope they don't change that). I would like to see also the uploading of picture formats and maybe the ability to upload with a compression setting and Some kind of Video handling incorperated........ hmmmm what else ?
Oh yeah, a change in security features or just more security features (although someone will still find a way around it, lets just make it harder).

How about making it possible to create Input Text Box directly from Action Script including the _x and _y position of the box without placing it manually before publishing the movie.

It would make flash a real mmedia expirience if Macromedia could include a real tracker into it.
If you could change the frequency and speed, tempo of execution of sounds. To work with samples and instruments and make real songs... not just loops.

i would like to see its computing power boosted up a bit. Granted, it IS a web based design, so you cant have it hogging all your processor power, but maybe a special mode that draws some more power than normal

what mm really needs is support for mod, xm, it all those old school files, you can make great music in em for only a few k, now that's streamline, SWOOSHHHHHH

Hey Guys why not some 3D stuff . Let the new version have a 3D animation option. to design cool character who got height, width and depth.

Lets it have a crop tool too. lets chope off the extra space after the design
