Flash designers not paid enough
I enjoy flash but dont you think flash designers are paid too little? In the UK, the average maximum salary for a flash designer is £45,000 per year. For the amount of work flash designers do, i believe they should be getting paid much more. I have been looking at IT Networking jobs, they get paid more than flash designers even though their job is usually easier. Im now considering getting into Networking, its not as satisfying but it will pay a lot more. Does the money bother you? I dunno what to do!

recently someone on papervision list has offered 500£ per day contract. if that's not enough for you, stop working as employee, start your own business, and hire people to make you more money.

I think it's going to depend. Plus businesses aren't really willing to pay that much for a Flash Designer. There seem to be a lot of them. Many people who are designers know how to use Flash. They are a dime a dozen.
Flash developers are more in demand. You will get more money as an AS developer. I am not talking about someone who knows how to program AS for buttons and loading external images. I mean OOP. I am talking mid to large sized projects where most of the work is done in class files and little to no work is done on the time line. And someone who is both a designer / AS developer hybrid, they can get a lot. Designer/developer hybrids are what's really in demand. They can get paid big time. Here's a list of some of the big guys rates. If you can't find a full time job paying enough, stay contract. It's nice to have security of full time job, but it's much better to get paid more money by doing the same work.

Another Resource
You're welcome to check out our rates statistics http://www.odesk.com/community/ocono...ns_by_category. They should give you an idea of the going rate in the outsourcing world right now. Best of luck.
