Why is this? I've got a movieclip in the 'over' part of a button.. When I click the button, the 'over' effect is played again.. This is something I don't want to happen .. Does any1 have a solution to this?

Yes there is something in 'down', it's the copy of the 'up' states' frame, which is nothing but a plain graphic..

easy fix, don't put movie clips in buttons =)
put the movie clip under the button, make the button transparent. in flash 4, use tellTarget to control the clip. this allows you to use one button object for all your buttons, just use different instances, and you can make changes to the animation without having to make changes to the button itself |
