I have no sounds at all from flash movies, games supported by flash or music in background during slideshows although with the slideshows I dont know if that is supported by flash.
My volume is up, my soundcard claims to be working properly, and I can hear music and sounds from realplayer, quicktime and wmp just fine. It's just flash and system sounds that is the problem. I have no system sounds either such as logging off but I'm not worried about it. I'm just worried about the flash sounds.
I hope someone can help me as I've been trying to find a solution for weeks, nearly a month now. I already reinstalled my soundcard, drivers but nothing. I tried reinstalling flash 8 but nothing either. I contacted Macromedia and they said to try this:
Go to start > run then type the text below.
expand G:\i386\msacm32.dr_ c:\windows\system32\msacm32.drv
expand G:\i386\msacm32.dl_ c:\windows\system32\msacm32.dll
I tried and it looked as though something was trying to show up for a second then it was gone so nothing happened... unless I did something wrong. I think I did also try it again only without the "expand" and got the error message: "G:\i386 refers to a location that is unavailable. It could be on a hard drive on this computer or on a network. Check to make sure taht the disks are properly inserted or that you are connected to the Internet or your network and try again. If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location."
I hope someone can help!
