the joke is a bit diffrent...

"laden" is slang for a small shop or cheap warehouse.
and as u perhaps may know germany is a somewhat multicultural country.

as a matter of fact there also were coming some problems with this mixture of diffrent cultures.
so some of them established their own manners (not the best one btw.)
so some cultures especially the greek and turkish
refuse to learn real german. so they leave words out. sure u know what they want to say but they don't care for the grammar and stuff.

so a complete german sentence would b
"Ich bin im laden (um die ecke)" = "i'm at the shop (around the corner)".

so the adverb is missing. "u can't b shop" u just can b "in a shop" or "shopping".

but ok this as background.

now the joke we were telling us eachother nearly 2 weeks ago goes on like this.

a man knew he is going to get visitors, so he just wants to buy some stuff for party. for they probably may show up while he's away he pinned a little note at his door "bin laden." (oh well he didn't use a subject "ich" = me too coz most of them don't if u listen to their speech as german).
after finishing his shopping he came back and his house was blown up.
