button overlapped problem
i am using flash since 3 yrs, but m not that much into action script, but 2day for first time i came to tackle this weird problem of flash.
i have a movie clip named symbol1 and a button named symbol 2 i have inserted both symbols to scene1 in different layer where movie clip (symbol1) is on the top of symbol2 and little bit overlapped. now when i mouseover the button it shows hand cursor but when i mouseover the overlapped part where movie clip is on top, it still shows hand cursor and plays the on rollover effect of button which i dont want. how to solve this prob, plz help me. poor me.

Hi the dinesh, welcome to FlashMove forums.
Your best approach to this would be to place the graphics outside of the button. Then have the two buttons as an invisible movieclip. That way you can cut the buttons into halves.

Thanx a lot master for your reply. Thank you very much. But i dont think cutting into halves will do the trick because it will more complicated then, coz i need to make map animation and the animation contains lots of regions and state so cutting those into halves will probably burst my head. i dont know how to solve this prob. anyways thanx a lot master.
